What are drunk munchies?

We've all been there. After a night of throwing back a few beers, cocktails, and whatever, and all of a sudden, food has consumed your brain, and you've got another case of the drunk munchies.

It's when all you can think about are thoughts a large stuffed crust pizza, chicken burrito with the works, or a Super Sized Double Bacon Cheeseburger meal with a large chocolate shake.

It's when the 2am drive through line seems like it's take over 3 hours, but really, it's only 45 minutes.

It's when a fellow drunk muncher walk by you holding a slice of newly purchased pizza, when you're at the back of the line, and for that piece of pizza, you're willing trade him all the money in your wallet (which is only $2.68 because you spent it all on booze leading to your drunk munchies), the clothes off your back, and an I Owe You $1,000,000 scribbled on a slip of paper.

It's when you feel your bladder about to burst from all those damn gin and tonics, and you have that argument in your brain, whether to let it leak out in your pants or lose your place in line at the order counter, and suddenly, wetting your pants seems like the lesser evil.

It's when you finally get your hands on that stuffed crust pizza, chicken burrito, or super sized double bacon cheeseburger meal, you consume it without really chewing enough to taste it, ate it so quickly you can‘t even remember eating it, and yet, you think it was the best thing you've ever had.

It's when after enduring everything above, you lay back on whatever piece of furniture is nearest to you, wipe your fingers on it, unbutton your pants, and the drunk munchies keep telling you to eat more as you drift off to sleep.

Note: Do not confuse drunk munchies with the fat ass syndrome. If you have all of the above symptoms, but your BAC is under 0.02%, you do NOT have the drunk munchies - you have the fat ass syndrome
